Useful Info & Fertilzer Plan

It's still winter.  The snow is still deep.  So I'm bound to the house to find things to overthink.  I got the idea today to start storing the information I frequently have to go back and re-read.  I wanted to put together all the things I like/need to know when I'm whipping up fertilizer and seed blends.

I created a Fertilzer and Seed page to track the things I often think about or need to know when coming up with things that get put into a food plot.

I also got to work on a plan and budget for fertilizer for the slice north plot.  It looks expensive at first glance, but my hope is that I won't have to do as much lime after this year, as well as the copper and manganese.  I admittedly don't know how fast these nutrients will get drawn down given that it's not necessarily harvested and there will be more remnants than a regular ag application.

Here's what it looks like today.

Fertilizer
$10 - 1 bucket of MAP
$20 - 2 buckets of Potash
$20 - 8 bags Waukesha lime
$10 - 2 bags Menards gypsum
$48 - 15 lbs manganese sulfate powder
$10 – 8 lbs borax
$11 - 2.5 lbs copper sulfate powder

Summer seed blend
50% WGF Sorghum
50% Cowpeas
20% Oats
20% Buckwheat
